I picked Nunn at the time he was Seen the man after beating Kalamby.could go ether way like the Tonney fight if Nigel lands a big shot
In that time frame it would have been at 160 and Nunn would win Nunn was not nearly as good at 168 as 160 while Benn was better at 168 than 160 lbs. At 168 Lbs, Benn would decision Nunn
Nunn was never the same after Toney ko. Nunn was hampered by domestic and personal demons. Nunn never fulfilled his enormous potential in the higher divisions . Benn at 168 lb mid rd ko.
I'm going with this juppity,Benn improved so much at super middle, he won the wbc and held it a few years. Nunn was great at middle but by the time he stepped up, as u pointed out was carrying baggage .So I can see Benn ripping into Nunn and getting a KO , around the seventh IMO
At the time I would have picked Nunn, but with hindsight I could have seen Benn wear down and maybe even stop Nunn. Michael was, as mentioned, not quite the same post Toney, the demons had started to affect his work. There was a little talk of a bout in 88/89 (Arum spoke of it in an year end programme on ITV), Nunn would have won comfortably in that period.
In the time period this fight could've taken place and in a best for best situation, Nunn clearly wins. Not sure how there could be a good argument otherwise.
