Intriguing matchup.Hopkins would have to be the aggressor.

    Nunn by split decision.

Hopkins would have to pressure him hard and shorten the distance. At his best he has the talent and intelligence to get it done. Nunn's a tough match tho, for near anyone.

Nunn by decision. Hopkins was the more consistant greater middleweight but this matchup doesn`t favor him. 6-2 Southpaw with better quickness and good footwork. Hopkins was a solid hitter but probably doesn`t have the power to change the fight.

Hopkins hated speed, Nunn wasn't only faster than any fighter that Hopkins ever fought besides Jones, he was more skilled, Nunn by loop-sided decision, just a bad match up for B-Hop

This is how I see it, as well. Provided this fight is before Nunn fought Toney. Michael was just never the same after getting caught like that after handling Toney for most of the fight.

Hopkins would win by late KO. Just too strong inside.

Nunn was something else. Hopkins at that age was still a novice.

Hopkins has a great record against southpaws, so I don't think that gives Hopkins too many issues. Hopkins was also a tall rangy middleweight, Nunn was used to big advantages in height and reach over most of his opponents but against Hopkins he only has about an inch in height and 2 inches in reach.

I think Hopkins would have to be at his best but he can pressure Nunn and break him down late and force a stoppage. Nunn even in his prime could engage too much and stand in front of his opponent too much like in the Toney, Barkley fights etc. I see Hopkins having success with his sneaky straight right when Nunn stood too upright, punish him for having his hands too low which Nunn often did and dominate on the inside with his rough inside game.
