How impressive as this KO and how did it compare to Nuun`s KO over Kalambay? Was Nunn`s power underrated? This content is protected
I think you're mistaken. That was merely the remains of the fighter that had once been Curtis Parker. He was beyond shot by this time. Nunn soundly beats even a prime Parker, don't get me wrong, but this mean essentially nothing.
Parker was way past his best and Nunn had a massive height and reach advantage. It was strickly a keep busy fight while he awaited a world title opportunity. On the other hand, Kalambay was a world champion on a hot streak who was in his prime. The Kalambay fight was, therefore, much more significant and impressive. Nunn had good power when he set down on his punches. He also kod the durable Roldan and the solid chinned Frank Tate. He simply fought safety first too often, especially and possibly, ironically, after the Kalambay blowout.
Parker was already on his way out and had nothing to offer to a prime Nunn at this stage. Nunn did look impressive albeit against an overmatched opponent. For some reason it looked like a young prime Ali fighting against a really old shot to bits Joe Frazier.
You mean he wouldn`t have been caught with so many uppercuts and hooks in a row rather than his chin getting weaker right? Those were fantastic shots by Nunn.
