People are just going to pick Nunn because he fits their agenda. Regardless that they never saw an actual fight of his other than on tape. That much is obvious. What makes me intensly curious is how these same people would rate Golovkin against guys like: Tim Littles Joe Lipsey Vincent Pettaway Simon Brown Glencoffe Johnson Dave Tiberi They might give Golovkin a shot against Tiberi, assuming it was not the version that got robbed against Toney.
Nunn starts well , but gets broken down. Dont get me wrong im a huge fan of the 80's and 90's fighters , it was when I first got into boxing but Im also appreciative of very good boxers today and GGG is one of them. It goes about 8 rounds. GGG is a bigger puncher than Toney by a long way and he caught up with Nunn eventually.
Based on what? One of the most awesome left hooks you'll ever see thrown, unseen putting him down (only for him to get right up)? When Nunn became hittable and a shell of himself at 168-175, Liles and Rocchigiani couldn't put the guy away - and they were big hitters (Liles sparking Ralph Ward/Littles, Rocchi sparking Hamsho/Michalczewski).
At 160 prime Nunn is a very hard guy to beat. Toney was able to break Nunn down at the end, but GGG is no JT
