Michael Nunn vs Roberto Duran.

This is the worst match up I can think of for Duran. Hearns size, Ray's temperment and skill set, though I haven't watched enough Nunn to get a feel for his inside game. But Duran would need to get there and stay there. It's his only chance given Nunn's speed, reach and defense on the outside. I would be very interesting to watch but I cannot favor Duran here.

 

Nunn outboxes him and wins a pretty wide UD.

Nunn keeps Duran on the outside all night. Can see Duran getting more and more frustrated as it goes on. The only time he gets to hit Nunn cleanly is when the round ends and Michael puts his gloves down. Wide unanimous decision for second to Nunn.

Only Duran's smarts would keep him in it till the end.

 

83 Duran would win a few rounds. 89 Duran would lose every round.

 

Nunn probably wouldn't lose more than a round or two; possibly wins by shutout.

 

Nunn was good on the inside as well.

Probably a fairly wide UD for Nunn. There's alway the possibility that Duran could come on late like Toney did and he himself did against Barkley, but I don't think it's a big one.
