Interesting fight. A tall slick mover isn't usually great for Tiger. But Tigers the better overall fighter in my opinion too. Nunn was catchable and Tiger would be there for the whole fight, he'd have to be able to put in constant work and hopefully finish it at some point or be able to do enough in rounds to make a bigger impression. He was doing well and had some success against the bigger Bob Foster until he got stopped.
I just think Tiger is a higher quality fighter and that Nunn is reachable with enough pressure. Leaning toward Tiger.
Eye of Timaeus cops some flack but this is a very good match up. Head says Nunn but Tiger was a rough, tough, durable, aggressive animal. If Nunn pitter pats and uses his legs he could win but I don’t see Tiger getting discouraged or easing up either. As stated Nunn could be reached by less physically gifted guys (Barkley, Starling, Little) and I’d bet a less gifted but iron willed guy like Tiger would give Nunn all sorts of problems. I’ll go with heart and pick Tiger by a close UD 15 in an epic fight of momentum shifts.
Tiger is clearly the greater fighter here, but Nunn's slithering, improvizational southpaw style would be a nightmare match-up for a nuts and bolts guy like Tiger.
Nunn of the Tate fight was a phenomenon and beats most middleweights in history, Tiger included. That version of Nunn might beat Toney. I think he's the type of fighter who's motivation dropped once he gained success
