I disagree and I'm a huge Spinks fan. I have been saying it for years now but Uysk is one of the best upper weight class fighters that I have seen in a very long time.
Spinks gives away too many early rounds. Would he really be able to pound out a decision down the stretch against a talent like Usyk?
Plausible. He is strong in the areas that are critical to Usky's advantage. Even so, you have to think that Usky would probably impose himself enough to take it.
Mike is one of my top 10 favorite fighters ever, and he's an atg fighter/light heavyweight. But he's not an elite heavyweight, and the only one he beat was a far from prime Larry Holmes(another one of my all time favorite fighters). Usyk just beat close to prime and one of the best heavyweights(and who also happens to be a superheavyweight) of this era. Whereas I realize styles make fights, I simply dont see Mike beating the best of Usyk.
Both were on the same level in my opinion. I would probably rate Spinks win over Holmes above Usyk's win over Josha
