    i can agree with that.

not that my opinion is worth **** but i only pick two light heavies in history to conclusively beat roy jones. spinks is one of them

I gotta give ups to guys who make odd rhythms and strange footwork into bizarre art into themselves. I couldn't teach a guy to fight like Michael. He'd suck.

Spinks was one of a kind, man. Don't know of too many other 175ers than him or Jones who could got up to fight a real heavyweight operator and spring an upset. If you don't solve Spinks or cow him with power, he'll solve you, alright.

well put and in the end, spinks style was exactly as you said: natural. you couldn't teach it. and frankly you wouldn't want to. it was ugly and unorthodox but wildly effective

Holmes would have to say that he took Spinks lightly yet he still lost their rematch and Holmes also said to Spinks BEFORE the decision was announced, "You took the Fight"... Spinks won their rematch wether you agree or not, he won. Vitali is so bad that it is laughable watching him punch bums like Shannon Briggs & Sam Peter. Spinks is a whole different kind of fighter to those guys and his one round loss to Tyson was at the very tail-end of his career, Tyson that night would have KOd almost any fighter in history in that opening round including the Brothers. Buster Douglas resume, skills and ability easily make him a Top 30 Heavyweight wether you rate him that high or not is imaterial.

Spinks would cause them both problems. The bigger size of the Drago brothers would eventually tell, though. Spinks not fast enough to outspeed them all night.

This. And, he doesn't have the jaw to sustain a heavyweight whallop while he does it. He barely survived Holmes in the rematch, and didn't survive Tyson. I don't think 12 rounds against either brother is doable for Michael.

Spinks gets knocked out. I'm not impressed by Tyson's k.o. of Spinks.

I'd favor "prime" HW Spinks over the current Vitali by a decision
I don't think Spinks would beat Wlad

I love Spinks, but he wouldn't have much of a chance, not due to talent, but to size.
