Man, I don't know. I think Spinks outboxes him. Haye can't fight forwards besides the occassional sneak-punch, and Spinks was very good at fighting off-rythm.

Haye has the tools to knock him out, but landing isn't easy, so I'll go for a Spinks UD.

They both had about the same level of success at heavyweight, though beating an aged Holmes was still better than anyone Haye defeated at that class. Haye seemed more fit over 200 than Michael did and carried his power up to that class better.. If I'm not mistaken he also might have been a year or two younger when getting his title shot at Wlad than Spinks was against Holmes but I'd have to check. Between the two of them they beat an old Holmes, old Valuev, Old Gerry C, old Ruiz, old Harrison, and Tangstad. One was stopped in a minute by Tyson while the other got dominated over 12 by Wlad... Not an easy pick for me... P4p micheal is the better fighter but at heavyweight I think its up for grabs... Too little substance to make an honest conclusion for me..

Recalling both Holmes fights, and the bout with C00ney, I would have to give it to Spinks outclassing Haye and winning a wide UD.

Haye isn't even in the class of old Holmes. Pot shots with low activity wasn't a successful formula against Spinks nor the fighters of the 80's. Although Haye has some speed I'm not sure it's enough to beat the Jinx.

Spinks in a wide decision or late stoppage. Other than a slightly bigger punch, Michael is superior in every department. The gulf in boxing skill is immense. If Haye fights to survive, he loses 12-0. If he tries to bomb out Michael, he has about a 10% chance of landing a lucky punch. If he can't knock Spinks out in the first couple rounds and continues to engage with Michael he has about a 75% chance of being stopped himself. If it is scheduled for 15 rounds, Spinks definitely stops Haye if it goes to the late rounds.

Spinks by wide UD. As said before, the gap in class is enormous.

Haye had a fast and powerful right hand. Other than that, he didn't impress me in the least. In order to have good defense, he had to sacrifice his offense. Sucker for a jab, shaky chin and stamina, his balance and composure so bad that he couldn't throw a proper combination, just 5 straight rabbit punches.

    Spinks.

Haye had enough gaps in his game, and Spinks would most likely exploit them.

Haye would clobber Spinks.Faster bigger stronger, more talented, its not even close.and Haye for once has the significant size advantage.Holmes wobbled him with jabs imagine the blistering combos Haye would hit him with.

Good match up. I'd go for Spinks... he goes 7-2-1 outta 10 fights.

Haye is the pure definition of a fraud.
