You think young Lewis is to clumsy to compare him with 35+ fights Wilder?

No, it shows what happen when great SHW jumped on LHW journeyman. As George said, Wilder is no Lewis and Epps is no Charles.

Yes. Any Lewis is several levels above Wilder.

Stylistically this fight massively favours Spinks to outbox Wilder.

But Deontay only needs one chance I feel and its all over.

I think I favour Spinks to stay out of harms way and pound out a decision or a late stoppage.

Prime Lewis yes, he is more versatile too. But that young powerful Lewis stumpled on his opponent and made it physical. Never hyped WIlder, but he can punch too.

Charles has zero business against boxers of that size and physicality. I don´t think we need to go on here.

Wilder is not physical or agressive and he always tries to find opponent with one powerful right. That's his whole plan and he's good at that but it's not enough to beat someone like Charles. Charles woulr box circles against him and he wouldn't know where and how he got hit.

Sure, 186lb time machine Ezzard Charles would be a SHW champ of today :eaea:

Michael by KO.Wilder never really learnt how to fight. He is a huge puncher, one of the best of all time, but let’s leave it at that.

Give him some time to adjust to fighting large opponents and why not? I'm not sure if he'd beat Fury, but Wilder shouldn't be that hard to him.
We don't have SHW division today and Wilder himself isn't heavy - he's around 220 lbs range at his best. Are you going to tell me that Charles wasn't good enough to beat 220 lbs fighter who's very limited, has low workrate, questionable defense and poor skills? All Wilder has is power and it's not impossible that he would land on Charles, but I don't find it likely. Charles faced better, more skilled punchers than Wilder and they didn't find him often enough.

Spinks mostly changed his style at heavyweight, going from an outright ATG to some kind of goofy styled goon whom mostly seemed to baffle heavyweights with his bizarre antics more than make any truly impressive mark at the weight.

I imagine Spinks would have trouble making five rounds, if that. Wilder hit a lot harder than Larry Holmes...even harder than Mike. But Deontay could be put off for a time by someone tricky.

The right hand landing flush means the beginning of the end for Spinks.

If Wilder fails to regain his crown then history isn't going to treat him well.

Spinks would probably be a good bet over him.

Exactly. These people are HIGH. Honestly.

By the way they talk, Wilder has been outpointed by everyone. In 44 pro fights, Wilder has never lost a decision. Ever.

But Michael Spinks is going to be the first. (rolls eyes)

The only thing history isn't going to treat well is this thread. (LOL)
