Could Spinks have beaten these 2. You can use either the 175 lbs version of Spinks or the 200+ lbs version.

This got no replies, so bump, he decisions Machen and Stops Folley, Spinks is elite and is bigger than both of them.

Good assessment, I'd say the same.

Spinks might beat Folley. Machen was would be tough because he was so durable and crafty.

Could Spinks have enough in his jinx to pull an ingo?

I suppose if it happened to Machen once it could happen again. But is it a likely scenario ? Probably not. Machen survived a lot of big punchers to go the distance - Liston, Williams, Valdez to name a few.

And Spinks isn't half the punchers any of those guys are.

Yeah I have hesitations about favoring Michael Spinks over Eddie Machen. Both guys were highly technical fighters and both were hard to stop. And Machen’s wins over quality men above 175 are far more in number. I’m thinking whoever wins, it’s a close decision

A 35-36 year old Holmes was a good win as he would be better than most prime contenders. Not to mention Holmes was a more modern sized heavyweight. If Spinks came in at 175, I slightly favor Machen. If Spinks is 200-208 pounds, I favor Spinks.
