That’s no easy list...stylistically idk how Moore and him would match up But that version of Archie didn’t look all that great thag fight.I don’t think he beats Ingo or Bonavena. Cooper Chuvalo Ellis and London are all good fighters too. Def slips more then once.

He didn't even have a style that was likely to age well, or a physical frame that was likely to buffer the effects of his ageing!

He only had his work ethic !

Patterson likely could have fought for a few more years, although it was unlikely he ever would have been champion again and an old Patterson crossing paths with a young and hungry George Foreman probably would have sent him into retirement.

I am certain that he left at the right time!

Giving a prime Ali a decent fight, at the age of 37, when you are little more than a light heavy, is an honorable not to go out on!

Yeah Ali was 218 pounds and Patterson was 188 pounds in that fight. A whopping 30 pound difference and Patterson was effectively a modern day cruiser in that fight.

Floyd Patterson kayoed Henry Cooper in round 4, on Sept 20 1966, 4 months after Ali stopped Cooper on May 21 1966, in round 6, on cuts. Michael Spinks beat up a way past prime Larry Holmes, on Sept 21 1985, to win the IBF Heavyweight Title. Spinks did not hit that hard as other heavyweight of that era. It would be interesting to see Michael against Eddie Machen, or seeing if he could absorb Ingo's Bingo, that felled Machen and Patterson.

The first fight against Muhammad Ali, on Nov 22 1965, I saw it on Close circuit television live, was Ali 218? If I remember he was like 211, for that fight. The rematch on Sept 20 1972, Floyd's last fight, I believe Ali was 218.

Spinks was a big puncher at LHW and the heavies of those days were modern day cruisers for the most part. I think Spinks, especially a bulked up Spinks would hit hard enough to damage any 200 and under fighter.

I think he could be too clever for Ingo and he could edge out a points win over Bonavena but it would be tough.
