This is one of the easier one to pick. Spinks can't stop Greb's incessant attack. Harry wins every round, big time, on his way to a lop-sided decision or TKO.
Some of Spink's victims: Dwight Qawi, Eddie Gregory Muhammed, Yaqui Lopez, Murray Sutherland, Vonzell Johnson, Larry Holmes, Jerry Cooney. Easy work for The Spinks Jinx.
Greb arguably has the most extensive record against top quality fighters of any boxer in history. From this, actual results and not armchair analysis, we know that he has an excellent chance for victory here. It is one of the more provable and defensible picks to be made in these imaginary match-ups.
Anyone pretending to a have this result with any certainty is full of sh*t! I'd like to hear Klompton' s views on this matchup.
No argument there....the Zulu Kid was a real terror in his day. But seriously, regarding Greb's victims and overall resume....because of the way boxing was run in those days he fought lots of guys lots of times. Like after fighting Fay Keiser 7 times (!) certainly he had his opponents style down pat, like a batter seeing a pitcher 7 times in a couple months. I'm not taking anything away from the totality of his career but really he didn't have 280 fights...he had maybe 80 fights 4 times each. I think my math is off but hopefully you get the idea.
That is a bit like saying that somebody was only better because they practiced more, or that they were only better because they tried harder.
