Spinks UD. Bivins has a good chance of getting a win in a series

Michael is a handful for any 175-pounder who ever lived — awkward, great jab, could outbox you and then had the power to end it with that Spinks Jinx right hand.

I figure he’s a cut above here but it would be a test as Bivins was capable.

I'm still on the fence. Stuck a bit but I dont know about Spinks being a cut above Bivins. Bivins beat something like 8 or 10 World Champions including Moore Charles Yarosz Soose Lesnevich. Also beat Oakland Billy Smith Hatchetman Sheppard and Lloyd Marshal amongst others.
    Tough call.

This could go either way. Two ATG's, neither chinny, both massively accomplished. I haven't done enough film study on Bivins (is there even enough film on him?) to see any proclivities. But if you can decision Ezzard Charles and Charley Burley you must be doing something right.

We would have to make Spinks the favorite, but Bivins would be a live underdog.

Definitely one worth staying up late for!

    Spinks, by 9-6 decision.
