Did you build an altar and pray to him? Can I join you for worship at the Church of Michael Spinks

Human sacrifices were offered to Spinks in the form of steffen Tangstad, Jim McDonald, and David Sears

My question is if Holmes and Spinks both stopped their common opponent (Cooney) and both fought on equal terms against each other then aren't both of them basically 1a and 1b in terms of skill? All evidence points to Holmes and Spinks being basically the same level as the other skill wise. If you rate Holmes highly it would be hypocritical to not rate Spinks very close to the same ballpark. How could you not have him beating Cooney here? Or just about anybody Holmes also beat?

Cooney never beat one credible guy that wasn’t already shot to bits. Granted he gave a good showing against Holmes and he does I believe carry enough sock that if he were to clip Spinks it might be over for the Jinx. But, I’ll go with the guy that I believe clearly won the first Holmes fight and edged the 2nd one by one point over any Cooney you want. Yes an end of the line Spinks lost to PEAK Tyson, news flash, peak Tyson would also destroy Cooney, which in turn means nothing. Spinks wins but Cooney makes it a fight this time.

Prime Cooney is a much harder fight for Spinks, he'd be in there trying to take his head off.
Idk, I think we might see Cooney get this one, was Spinks chin ever really tested at Heavyweight, Tyson fight aside of course.

When Holmes fought Spinks I saw him fight another boxer who was every bit as good and skilled as he was. 30 rounds of boxing. Thats no fluke. He was just as good as Holmes. All evidence we have says that's a fact. Laugh at that.

You tell 'em. That was a better Holmes in there vs Spinks than fought Cooney too, how could anyone possibly deny that????

Frazier beat post exile Ali too, 15 rounds of boxing. Later fights were competitive as well. Foreman had Frazier going up and down like a yoyo. Foreman was better than Ali that's for sure................

Between the Witherspoon and Williams fights Holmes went on a four fight stoppage streak. I don't buy that he's already past it when he fights Spinks unless winning close fights means you must be shot. That seems a little selective to me. Now name a guy that Holmes beat that you don't think Spinks could beat. I think you can argue he would have beat not just Cooney but any of them and thats not a stretch at all.

Cooney lost because he was in the worst shape of his career, and a drug addict at the time. He looked far better against Foreman years later and even confirmed he was in much better shape for that bout.
I mean Cooney had fought 3 and a half minutes in two years before his fight with Holmes, and still lasted 13 rounds, but all of 8 seconds, despite taking heavy punishment throughout. Do you really expect us to believe a less rusty Cooney with better endurance to boot wouldn't have been able to go two more rounds?

To tired to address this laughable non-sense. Going down for a nap, and hopefully when I wake up, this will make a bit more sense.

lol aren't you the person that said Cooney could've boxed the distance against a prime Tyson?
