Say in 1985 after Spinks upset Holmes, Roy was around and ventured up to HW to take on Spinks. What happens?

I doubt spinks hits harder than John ruiz who hit roy with some pretty good shots, so im gonna go with roy.

Spinks knocked out Cooney who was much bigger than Jones plus Michael was a lot quicker than Ruiz, I think Spinks would have toyed with Ruiz, plus I didn`t see Royb taking any shots in that crappy fight!

You must have fallen asleep before the opening bell then.
5:24 flush left hook against the ropes.
7:47 several clean power shots to the head

And thats just the first round
Roy didnt have a glass jaw in his prime. His punch resistance was just wiped out and he never recovered from the 2nd tarver fight according to emmanuel steward.
Peoplenever paid attention to him getting hit in his prime beause it never bothered him. Just one of those same shots would put jones to sleep nowadays.

I think his right hand was always his right, and he was a much much much better fighter than Ruiz.. I think he hits Roy with the right and knocks him cold for a few minutes..

Spinks was a great fighter in his own right and naturally bigger than Roy. He also had master strategist Eddie Futch in his corner. I'd be confident they would find a way to make it's extremely difficult for Roy.

I agree. I don't think Roy could take the Spinks Jinx.
