Michael Spinks vs. Roy Jones @ 175

Spinks so underrated it's sad. Probably hit harder than anyone that Jones faced at Lightheavy and was damn fast as well. Combine that with a hugely effective defence and and a very unorthodox and effective offence, with excellent stamina and I lean strongly toward Spinks. And I say that as a massive Jones fan too.

I've picked Spinks by a stoppage.

I think Jones gets ahead on the cards early on, but Spinks stops Roy in the latter rounds.

the only thing I know about Spinks
is that he got knocked the **** OUT By Mike Tyson

the only thing I know of Roy

was that he actually lied he wanted to fight Lennox Lewis lmfao.

Lewis would have ko Roy with a jab

Spinks at 175 was better than Roy. Maybe Roy's style was more aestetically pleasing, but that means ****all. Spinks was the best fiighter in the best era of the division. He was also a complete fighter who was highly skilled. Blue collar guys like him don't get enough respect. He had the ability to either decision or knock out Roy.

 

There are a few fighters that I would pick over Roy at LHW, Spinks is one of them, but I could see Roy possibly winning... I don't really consider Roy completely at his peak at 175... Big, strong LHW's like Spinks give him hell.

 

The Spinks Jinx would KHTFO. Roy has no Chin. None.
