Michael Spinks vs some Moorer opponents

I don't think he beats Holyfield, but, he has a very good chance of beating the rest. He might beat the version of Holyfield from the first fight due to his unusual cardiac issues that fight. Definitely beats Bean, Schultz, and the old version of Bonecrusher that Moorer beat. It would be fun to watch him mix it up with Smokin Bert, but, I suspect he would play it safe until Bert gassed. Same with Foreman.

 

Remember everyone Mike White is 6'10.

 

Beats them all the version of Holyfield that Moorer fought was the worst version of Holyfield in the 90s so no reason Spinks shouldn't be favoured over him.

 

Spinks is a bad match up for Old Foreman too mobile and slippery.

 

He probably beats all of them.

Not the best of Holyfield, but on that specific night, he could. I’d also pick Spinks to beat Moorer at their HW bests.

 

The biggest issue is if Spinks' body could hold up for that many fights at heavyweight. He'd be favored over all.

 

They said the same thing about Moorer.

 

Except Moorer doesn't have Spinks's movement and elusive upper body movement.

Moorer also stood infront of Foreman in the later rounds giving him opportunities to land the big bomb.

On HBO Legendary Nights Spinks briefly commented on the fight and he stated.

"I don't understand why Moorer stood infront of a big guy like Foreman."

Basically suggesting that if he was fighting Foreman he wouldn't be standing infront of him.

Morrison befuddled and outboxed old Foreman and Morrison never adopted those tactics In his entire career apart from in the Foreman fight.

And Morrison was hardly a boxing wizard his style was an exciting come forward brawler but he still managed to do it.

So if Morrison can do it then Spinks can certainly do it and he was better at doing it than Morrison was for certain.
