How does a prime Michael Spinks fair against Vitali and Wladimir as they are today?

I think he does fairly well. He isn't really undersized comparatively to a lot of the Brothers competition as of late, and has a very good jab and was pretty quick for a Heavyweight. He liked to move laterally and dart in and out of range when he was fighting the big men, and I think that could be pretty successful against Wladimir, who is straight up and down.

Nothing against the Jinx, but I don't see him as having the sufficient tools needed to beat either of the Klit brothers.. First of all, he was a relatively slow starter and took his time to figure out his opponent and get comfortable. He wouldn't have much "feeling out" time against these guys.. Secondly, he only fought a handful of times at 200 lbs, and his vulnerablities against natural heavyweights were exposed in the rematch against an aged Holmes and of course Tyson. Spinks might very well be the better technician of the three men, but I don't know if its enough to overcome their great size, strength and athletcism.. A prime Wlad was as good or better than a 36 year old Holmes in the jab department, but the difference, is that those shots would have a lot more sting behind them, as would Vitali's... Lastly, Wlad's weakness was primarily the left hook ( something Michael wasn't known for ), and Vitali really only fell victim to Lennox Lewis, who even at age 37, was better equipped to land flush on him.. Not saying that Spinks couldn't compete with bigger men, but the Klitschko brothers are better than just about anyone within those size perameters, and Spinks' win over a declined Gerry Cooney, doesn't give us much to work with.

I think Michael gets stopped by both.

Spinks is in my top 5 at LHW but I don't see him being a serious threat for either of them...although he'd probably have more success against Wlad.

Tyson Xposed Spinks to have a DISGRACEFULL glass-jaw when Bloated-up to Heavywieght. At heavyweight he no-more then a Grade C fighter And he v.feather-fisted. No way does he beat teh Klits, they are way Bigger, More Powerful And More skillful. Even WALDO has an Iron-Cheen compared to Spinks.

People teh Klits have beat what are BETTER then Spinks at HEAVY -

    Gomez
    Fatty Arreola
    Quit-Jawb Orlin Norris.
    Cave-man Peter
    Golfer Sanders
    Saftey-Pin Johnson
    KirK johnson
    Shot Briggs

    aXel Sculz
    Fat Super-Middleweight Byrd
    Fatty Cruiserweight Chambers
    White-Tyson Chagaev
    Thompson
    Shot Rahman
    Ibragemov
    Brewster
    Pokemon's Brock

That's how I see it. A smaller techinican just doesn't have much of a chance at outboxing Wlad and while he may make Vitali look ugly at points, I can't see Spinks getting the job done against him either.

I would think the opposite. Wlad can bang with his righthand. Vitali would probably allow Spinks to stick around a bit longer.

I wonder if he could hurt Wlad....
No matter, I certainly think he would desicion both of them, although he didn't really have so many fights at heavyweight and he didn't carry his power well, he still had that awkward style that would give virtually anyone fits (minus Tyson), and of course he still had the hand speed.. Vitali would definitely use his size to mangle and man handle Spinks the way that Holmes did the second time... Wlad wouldn't though, since he preferred the outside.
I see both Klits losing a decision either way.

Actually Foreman hook... Anyone can look like **** against Tyson, ANYBODY, even Old Foreman with a monacle... Spinks wasn't nearly the threat he was at lightheavy, but he still showed that he could fight and be awkward for anybody..

Both Klits were successful offseting Byrd who was awkward in his own right. Pressure beats the Klitschkos, they can box with the best of them not that Im comparing Spinks to Byrd, but both brothers are very good outside technicians but very poor brawlers/fighters..

Cooney was past-prime, but watching Spinks skillfully demolish him with combinations in the 5th tells me he could indeed badly hurt Wlad.

I think he would beat the 39-year old Vitali of today via a controversial decision but I can't see him beating Wlad
