Unfortunately Michael Spinx is generally remembered being KO'd against Tyson, but he defeated Lary Holmes twice (very close, but wins). He had been an excellent LHW before (I am not sure, I think he was undisputed LHW champion, untill 1985).

What do you think about his chances against recent LHWs - Ward, Kovalev, Stevenson ? (Fantasy match - of course)...

I'd take Spinks over all three of them. The only guy off the top of my head I'd pick to beat Spinks is Ezzard Charles.

He beats all them .ward on points stops kovalev in the late rnds and Stevens mid rnds . spinks was a very dangerous bloke at LH top three atg.

this is kinda worded wrong, this first post. it wouldn't be how do you fancy his chances against them, its how you fancy their chances against him.

At present Spinks has just about enough to beat them all, with Ezzard being the only question mark 50/50 fight, and Ward being so far weakest, unproven at LHW.

Prime Michael Spinks is one of the absolute greatest lightheavyweights ever. He knocks any version of all 3 of them the **** out. So does Dwight Muhammad Qawi. BTW, 85 was the last year Michael fought at 175.

Spinks Era of lightheavyweights were killers. He became the first 76 Olympian champion at the same time the youngest and left the division undefeated at that weight. I put the best at 175.

I don't remember him ever being off of his feet at 175. It's a ****ing joke that the younger generation only remember him for the Tyson debacle.
