I watched his fights against Holmes, this winter. Very competitive (both), and I was not sure if Spinx deserved to win. It was very, very close.

I guess he would beat bhop, jones, toney & even calzeghe easily too

    Stop overrating old school fighters

Kov & ward would give spinks fits their both excellent fighters who knows who would win

He's not overrated if anything he's underrated and he had one of the greatest trainers of all time in his corner. I take the old school over all 3.

:patschJesus Christ:patsch. Talk about overrating: BHop is 9-3-2 at 175. He lost to Chad Dawson at 175 and to Jermaine Taylor TWICE at 160 ffs. Spinks was undefeated at 175 and has a very good resume there. When you get a chance, please watch some fights other than the Tyson one. And yes, he would beat the 1st 4 you mentioned. Old school is 30 years ago, btw?

    I have to add : M. Spinx is/was recognised as a Leon's brother.
And Leon defeated "the greatest"...So, he was pretty popular thirty years ago.
Much more popular than recent US HWs, in any case...

That mother****er moved like a feather weight hit like a heavy weight. I don't think any of them stand anything but a punchers chance.

Spinks knocks out Stevenson & Ward. vs Kovalev i'd wager is 50/50.

Right now I favour Spinks. But that could change depending on how careers pan out.

Stop overrating old fighters. Spinks was good, but he's not even close to unbeatable. People forgot about this fight:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i36dbb7kzXU

Spinks struggled badly and got a gift decision against Eddie Davis. Watch the first few rounds of the fight...backing up, covering up on the ropes against a 2nd rate pressure fighter.

He would get knocked out against Kovalev and Stevenson.

Nobody was knocking Spinks out at LHW. Stop overrating today's fighters. Both were put down by Boone and one was ko'd. One struggled against Chilemba and Chilemba probably couldn't even beat Rossman. Foh with this simpleton bull****.
