Watson was a great technician, and could bang pretty well. I reckon he beats Collins at pretty much everything. Wouldnt knock him out though.
They had 3 mutual opponents , Collins did better against 2 of them and not any worse against d 3rd . Collins fought Benn & Eubanks past their primes but then he was even more past his own prime and was older than Eubanks and Watson . Also Collins fought a very close fight with Reggie Johnson and outpointed Thornton and Kevin Watts . Collins' resume is also better in addition 2 him doing better vs mutual opponents while being older . Having watched Watson vs Eubanks*2 , Benn and McCallum , he was n ordinary fighter whose significance got overblown over d yrs due 2 his win over another UK hypejob in Nigel Benn . Watson was not better than McCallum , Reggie Johnson , Eubanks or Kalambay and if Collins gave them such close fights then he would have given Watson at least as much .
Some fair points, but as for Collins being older than Eubank and Watson that's not a factor because fighters reach and pass their at different ages. Wastson UD is my prediction by the way.
Watson was the best all round boxer out of himself,Benn and Eubank. His skills see him through to a convincing points victory over Collins.
