As much as I’d love to see Zerafa get stopped I don’t know if Hardman has the tools to do it…

    Nonetheless, WAR HARDMAN! :b1:

Campbell Somerville vs. Lawrence Glover starting now. Not sure how many fights have already been on.

EDIT: Above is the third fight. Which leaves another 3 before the main event.

Skill-wise Zerafa should be the better technical boxer but there a few massive arguments against him here and there is a reason why he's a significant underdog on the betting market.

    1. Zerafa is an absolute sucker for the (overhand) right. Horn landed that shot with ease and landed plenty of them. You can see it in some other fights too. Zerafa is fine as long as you fight a technical fight like Brook did. But as soon as you start to throw wild stuff he's in danger of getting hit and caught clean. I think Hardman is one of those guys, a former MMA fighter, who is throwing wild stuff from weird angles.

    2. Hardman probably doesn't hit as hard as he thinks but he's really a pressure fighter who loves to trade in the phone booth. He has a good chin (he was hit by some absolute BOMBS by Emmanuel Carlos) and is a strong mother****er who probably weighs around 190 pounds in the ring. While Zerafa isn't a small guy and his size probably won him the first Horn fight, he's still not a huge Middleweight or even a Super Middleweight. Hardman is young and strong and will probably rough him up on the inside. Zerafa should be able to clinch a lot but i think he won't win the exchanges in close range and i doubt he's going to dominate the clinch either. Especially with Hardmans MMA and grappling experience he should be fine there.

    3. I don't like the whole setup for Zerafa. He's not training in a great gym at all and more important he had very limited sparring with limited guys. I think he even trained with that Cherneka Johnson girl and some random dude in the gym so i doubt he's in there with a guy of Hardmans caliber. I also think Hardman is most likely a stronger, harder hitting and bigger version of Horn with a much better chin. He also had great sparring and probably the best you can get in Australia. And we all saw how much Zerafa struggled at times with the style of Horn. Zerafa also doesn't look like a guy (to me) who is really 100% into boxing anymore. I think he enjoys his life and i don't see him as a guy who really puts 100% into his career. Hardman on the other side probably has nothing else than boxing and this is the biggest fight of his career.

As much as i wanted to back Zerafa here and as much as i like the odds on him at +190, it feels like an absolute trap. I wouldn't be shocked if Zerafa is getting beat up and stopped in the first half to be honest. But i wouldn't be shocked if he exposes a very basic Hardman either. But the arguments are on Hardmans side in my opinion.

He put a story on his instagram last night of him hitting 84kg on the scales. Would've only been 5 or so hours after the weigh in. Hardman by stoppage around the 9th or 10th for me.
