They both have something in common in their prime, not leaving their background, after RJJ was robbed in the lympics he vowed never to fight outside but he later on did toward the end of his prime to go fight calzaghe in England. It would have been an explosive fight for the two men to meet both in their primetime i just can predict what the outcome would have been like, Joe comes to you in his fight and Dariusz fights the same way so if both fighters approaches an opponent it means they both will stand toe to toe in the middle of the ring and just slug it out i dont know why it never happened even tho both fighters were in the same weight class and both have an undefeated record in their prime.
I think Joe wins a comfortable UD. DM was pretty slow footed and not especially fast with his hands either. Calzaghe would own much of the ring and dictate the terms of the fight. Dm would have to try to start landing bombs, and though JC doesn't have the hardest of chins, I don't think Dm is going to put him out. JC 116-112 over Dm. Keith
Calzaghe, but it would have been a very dangerous fight for anyone. Michalczewski was very good fighter, very underrated.
:rofl Dariusz had a granite chin. Calz is the one who has 2 KDs against him in 2 fights at 175. Michalczewski by KO.
Miachelchweski would win this. The only thing Calzaghe has going for him are his speed and workrate. A good jab con negate a speed advantage. DM had one of the best jabs of the 90s. Add to that very good power, accuracy and timing, a decent defense and a great chin and I pick DM to TKO Calzaghe late - DM is also more proven than Joe C. but I think everybody knows this.
Most people have probably never seen a prime Dariusz. Dariusz had an excellent jab, power, chin and stamina and he could fight at a good pace to. Also his defence was not to bad when he was young either. Im a massive Michaczewski fan and i like Joe to but i could see Calzaghe starting well only to be ground down to a close points loss.
Prime Joe is a Super Middleweight, prime DM is a Light Heavyweight. I'd favor DM there if Joe is stepping up but if we're talking late stage DM VS late stage JC when he fought at Light HW, I'd favor JC a bit.
