Does anyone have the video of this fight? I have never seen it.

I heard Montell was up on the cards and the stoppage was a bit controversial.

Thanks. Never read that yet. He was a good fighter, who knows how good he could have become if Eddie Futch stuck with him. He did give Jones his first loss.

He spoke about more or less all of the key moments of his career and that article covers almost every word he said, barring a few questions here and there.

I enjoyed the interview a lot and thought Montell was a very interesting guy who provided some unique insight.

Montell was a good fighter but very delusional and a sore loser. He did well against RJJ in the first fight but was losing anyway and was on his way to getting stopped, it was a legit win but afterwards he talked as if he owned RJJ. After the rematch, he said Roy only knocked him out so quickly because he was afraid of him. Never mentioned how lucky his decisions against Toney were, always feeling like he was the one getting cheated.

Michalczewski was always a slow starter, he lost early rounds much more baldy in other fights that he won by KO (Richard Hall). Montell won the early rounds barely in my opinion, and I always rooted for Michalczewski to lose because I couldn't stand his personality. The stoppage might have been a little early, but Montell couldnot take Michalczewski's punches, he would have gotten beaten up badly.
