Michalczewski would have stopped Roy, no doubt about it!

Jones was cherry picker like some one already said. he was over rated in Lhw.

DM would knock Roid's chinny ass out in before 10 rd.

DM wasnt that good. He fought nobodies and barely won many of those fights..The fact that he had to fight Hall twice should tell us all we needed to know about him:good

Roid got knocked the **** out by once punch from FEATHER FISTED Glen Jonhson. Tarver knocked him out ridiculously too, Roid also lost both of the 2 fights also.

Dm would knock roid down by Jab:good

If everyone is using the Hall fights as a gauge, lets consider a few things about those fights. Jones knocks the guy down twice in the first round. Why on earth does it take him 10 more rounds to stop the guy? What finishing skills are those? Daruisz wins a tough fight and actually signs up for a rematch with the guy. Which fighter didn't like to give the rematches in bouts he won close?

Michalczewski was all busted up badly in that 2nd Hall fight in the first round. He looked like Basilio/Saad Muhammad in there. But he did the rare thing and did not let it prevent him from altering his attack. And he finished Hall once Hall was ready to go. How'd Jones look when he only had 1 eye cut against Calzaghe? Did anyone really think he looked like he was going to win the fight at that stage?

How many fights did Dariusz lose to a 5"5" guy like Montell Griffin? Jones had every physical advantage in the book and when he was in a tough fight, he got himself disqualified. Great fighters overcome adversity in there---how many other top notch fighters have a dq loss on their records anyway? Name some. Some have wins, but what guys have a dq loss?

And does anyone really hold Tarver and Johnson in all that high of esteem? What other high profile ko victims do those guys have on their resume? What top 10 caliber ko victims do they have on their resume?

The Tarver and Johnson fights for Roy and the Hall fights for DM are really meaningless in this debate, they were fights they had out of their primes..not to mention the stylistic differences.

DM would have been a hard fight for Roy when both were in their primes...but he is just a level below Roy. He would have been far to slow of hand and foot..Prime Roy's chin didnt get touched very often, so even a punchers chance is slim.

He only showed that speed when he wasn't pressured and could fight at the pace he wanted and dictated. Jones at LH only threw 40 punches per round, not the 60 he did as a middle. That's a helluva dropoff and 40 punches thrown means not much of an activity level. And the only times Jones bothers to keep his hands up is when he's on the ropes. The rest of the time his left is dangling at his kneecap and that's a weakness that was and is going to get exploited against elite competition. The 2nd tier guys cannot exploit it, but others can. The same principal applies with pressure.

Dariusz is one of my favourite fighters of all time, but i think whilst Jones should start the favourite the fight is not a forgone conclusion like alot of the Americans who have never seen Michalczweski fight.

Also how many times has Jones fought out of the US?

The US isnt the world you know.
