This fight was very close to been made now the ingle camp have gone a bit quiet.... Anyone else think it makes perfect sense. Gomez wins he's back in contention, McAllister pulls it off and he becomes more than a name in the ratings. Thought anyone?

Mike needs 2 or 3 tune ups first imo, get him back into tip top shape, then its a realistic match up.

True ideally that would be the way to go but do you think Gomez would struggle a little to get 'up' for those matches bearing in mind his age and the fact his last fight was for the British title?

Yes he came closer to beating the reigning British champion then Ricky Burns, Fehintola or Cocoran... he should definately retire based on that :nut

Good fight for McAlister, if he wins could get a shot at Thaxton, Murray or even Khan!

it would be a good fight for him in terms of stepping up. But bad in terms of he would loose to all four easily.

He was ****ed after 3 rounds and didn't exactly hurt Johanssen.

He should retire before ge gets hurt. Just my opinion.

**** McCallister, was up in Aberdeen for the holidays and theres news items in the local paper on more than one occasion praising him for bringing a world belt back to the 'deen, and him himself saying how proud he is to be a world champ. Chump has fooled all the ignorant aberdonians the WBU & his WBF Intercontinental means something. Im all for supporting your local boys, but he'll never get respect from me.

    Gomez to hopefully smash him.

ps. in the article it says they are working on getting a top ten mexican over for him to fight, aye right Lee.

Gomez said on Channel M that he was having one more fight (which he hopes is against Carl Johannesson) and then he is going to retire.

Then again they also think aberdeen is the best football team on the planet so theres no hope for them really
