He had many issues in the fight last night,what was with the weight?He came in at 150,he never comes in that heavy,he came in 140 with Casamayor,was it to be more poerful?WHat was with Berndan Smith's instructions?They were really off,why didn't he try to KO him?
One thing I was really concerned when the fight was still on was the fact that he never seemed to realize that bringing your hands down is ill-adviced against someone like Diaz. I fully expected him to have atleast a bit better defense than before. But all I saw is one hand in his face and the other in his hip. Hell sometimes you can't even see him covering up his face at all.
The only thing about him is his guts and heart. Much like Gatti. And we know what happened to Gatti when he faced skilled fighters.
You know...maybe he isn't that good,maybe he just did his best but came up short,anyway I still have wanted to see him try to KO Juan's ass
Katsidis is a 100% warrior and I like his I want to fight the best attitude. He's one of the guys that you believe when he says it. But he simply isn't on Diazs' level. Or any of the elite guys at 135. Campbell, Pacquaio, Guzman, JMM, and some others all beat Katsidis every time. The lightweight division is so deep though that there is a lot of second tier fighters that I'd love to see Katsidis in with. Match him with David Diaz, Santa Cruz, Chavez,Kid Diamond, or Valero. Those are fights that guarantee amazing action and Katsidis has a good shot at winning. I'd like to see him be more than the go to guy when an elite fighter needs a nice win on his record.
