Well, there isn't a fighter with the kind of footwork that Nunn had in the current middleweight division. But i feel that Nunn starts the fight on the inside with both fighters jabbing, when Nunn realizes that he can't hurt GGG, he starts to move his feet for the rest of the fight with GGG taking the best of the short fight and Nunn winning a decision.
Honestly, I just can't say. All we know about Golovkin is he cuts off the ring brilliantly and has other worldly power. But so did G man. We don't know how Golovkin will react if he gets caught, we don't know how he fights on the back foot, we don't know how capable he is when he drops round and we don't know the best level of opponent he can beat. Golovkin might get banged out by Jacobs or he might survive a shootout, mow down Canelo and then beat Saunders into submission. My gut tells me Golovkin is the best offensive force we've ever seen in his division but without seeing him against a higher level of opposition I don't wanna pit him in fantasy fights.
I think Golovkin wins by KO. Nunn did not have the kind of power to keep Golovkin really honest, and Golovkin is too good at cutting the ring off for Nunn to stay away for 12.
I think it would be like Toney vs Nunn but Golovkin may catch him a bit earlier. Golovkin KO in 8-10.
Nunn would stop him in about 9 rounds golovkin would be far too slow against a peak Nunn the referee would stop it to save golovkin from further punishment
I never said they were similar, I just think that it would follow a similar pattern with Nunn outboxing Golovkin for the first 6 or 7 seven rounds, then GGG would take over and stop him.
