Who do you pick and why? Is weight an isse as regards your pick?

I think I am right in saying that Patterson never made it into what constitutes the modern HW division, but what, if any differences, do you see if the fight was at 175, 200 and heavy?

I lean towards Patterson slightly but no money is going down.

I would favor the underrated Floyd Patterson to ko Michael Spinks in dramatic fashion, wih punches he would never see coming. Remember, Spinks was a LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT, and a great one, but Patterson, whose misfortune was to lose so miserably to HEAVYWEIGHTS, would never be defeated or blown away by Michael Spinks, even though everyone, particularly the "experts" would have expected him to be. Patterson ko 4 Spinks.

I'd hate to make a pick here. I'd say if under the gun Spinks might be a very mild fave at 175 and Patterson at heavyweight due to where they mostly resided. Who is to say if Patterson tried to stay down in weight and succeeded he couldn't have made a charge at being one of the best few, if not the best 175 ever. Versus his own weight he's an unbelievable talent.

I favour Patterson. He has the equaliser and it's far from certain that he would be outboxexd, and need it. Patterson is quick enough that Spinks' excellent movement can be countered, Patterson could probably come to use it to his advantage - he would surely be able to anticipate Spinks moving to (his own) left and use this to his advantage.

Exactly what I feel if these two were to ever fight.

Is the "Spinks Jinx" equivalent to Ingo's Toonder right hand.

If so, Floyd will hit the deck.

Mike hit Qawi once or twice with his right early, and Dwight didn't want any more of that either.
