Watched it the other day, the guy is an inspiration. Unbelievable story, particularly remember the victory over Benn.

I think this program was aload of ****, and it did Michael Watson's struggle and greatest fight no justice at all.

It was very tacky, and it was not deep enough for me.

    "This is by far better"

I had forgotten about how devastating that uppercut from Eubank was

That must be the best punch he ever threw under the circumstances because he was well behind on points.

Was it the punch or the rope that did the real damage?

It was Chris Eubank greatest but most tragic performance.

And he hit Michael Watson with a uppercut, which froze him on the spot. And then a follow up left hook, and then Michael Watson hit the ground and ropes hard.

Chris Eubank in my opinion is one of very few fighters, that will not stop until they literally have nothing left, like some kind of modern day Spartan.

It was a great fight, by far passed Nigel Benn vs Chris EUbank I. Chris Eubank stated it himself.....

"It was the most brutal fighter ever seen inside a British boxing ring"

What incredible shape both fighters where in, Michael Watson was in frightening condition.

    During Watson vs Eubank I.

In my opinion, Chris Eubank looked the stronger fighter when he really put his foot down. He look stronger physically........

During the second fight, Chris Eubank was physically more fitter "But Watson looked to have the greater brute strength". Chris Eubank! prepared like a man who knew....he was going to have to absorb allot of punishment, also his movement and agility endurance was off the chart.

Eubank looked far more athletic in the second fight aswell, Eubank was known to really dry himself out to make weight. A big deal was made about Nigel Benn, having ti loose 6 pounds or something during their first fight! Eubank had to loose more than that to make weight! But didn't even mention it himself, "It was irrelevant".

    "A Gentleman Warrior"

    What a fight!!!!

I agree with all of the above particually the last bit Eubank had definitely lost his killer instinct for want of a better phrase after the second Watson fight

the rope, it caused immediate whiplash.

if Watson had been 3 or 4 steps further forward it could have been a totally different story all together.

I watched the BBC one a few years ago, which made me feel really sad and upset after watching it. It was filmed about 11 years ago though.

However, I feel no sorrow after watching this new one. It's purely inspirational and depicts the true strength of human will and spirit. It's not a tale of tragedy, it's a tale of victory. Michael Watson is amazing and has achieved so much more through his accident than anything he could have in boxing. Hearing the story of how he told the child in the wheelchair to get up almost brought tears of awe to my eyes.

You know what I like as well, I didn't hear Michael thank "God" or any other fantasy made up deity for his recovery. Michael's achieved what he has through his family, medical staff, but mainly himself. He's a remarkable human being and testament to what humans are capable of.

O/T but does any one know when that Gerald McClellan documentary "Fallen Soldier (or is it "Warrior")" is due out. I read that it was in production a couple of years back and haven't heard anything from it since.

I agree with PK - pointless rehash of the Watson story, inferior to the bbc's "Fighting Back" documentary. "Clash Of The Titans" is another legendary bbc documentary from that era focusing on the Benn-Eubank rivalry.

Adam Smith & co = lightweight clowns.

Watson, who lives in Chingford, said: “I made a promise to God that I would commit myself to him if he helped me.
"If it wasn't for my faith I would not be here."
