Heard Robles was relocating to Mexico with his 2 World champions Valdez and Magdelano so not at all surprised Quigley and Conlan have sought new trainers. Expect both to go well in their new set ups.

Good move for Conlon, as it was by Jason Quigley joining Dominic Ingle.

i think hes referring to when he turned pro the boxing board wouldnt give him a licence after a brain scan so he missed 18 months getting it sorted.

Yeah well he had a problem with the brain, when he was around 15 years old I think. I think it was similar to do what past prospect Iain Weaver had, however Burnett was passed medically fit and allowed to continue boxing. Just after his last outing, where he had memory lapses and going to the hospital I am just very skeptical. Boxing takes it toll on many fighters as I'm sure you are well aware.

Yeah I thought it was when he was younger than that however you are probably right. Thanks

From an interview with Newstalk 106FM during the Summer:

"Everything was right on track until I had to go for a brain scan, the annual brain scan that every boxer, has to do. And one day, I was in Manchester and I got a phonecall from a neurologist and he simply said, 'You've got a brain problem and you're not going to be able to box again' and my whole world fell down around me. It was over even before I'd begun and it was the beginning of a rocky road," he said, explaining that one of the main arteries to the brain was blocked which meant he was in danger should he be struck in the head.

"The problem now is that there is actually a blockage in the brain but from birth the brain has created its own pathway around the blockage. So my brain is still getting all the blood it needs to get so therefore I'm not in any danger,"

    Thanks, that is interesting.
Suppose we will get a better indication in his next fight or war rather he gets into.

I'm still skeptical down the line.

You will see a completely different fighter under Booth. Robles is good with a certain type of fighter...i.e. Mexican style and he tried to mould both Quigley and Conlan into that style, neglecting their boxing skills from range. Not a bad trainer, but tries to get everyone to fight the same way. Conlan will be much slicker under Booth - pot shotting and being more elusive
