Punishment what on earth are you talking about?? It was a tough fight for both guys but that fight took nothing out of Ronnie.. He wasnt massively hurt at any stage of the fight until he gambled in the last round.. He got caught by a punch he didnt see and it knocked his equilibrium.. He didnt recover and Cacacae jumped on him forcing the stoppage. He was recovered 10 secs later. Ronnie is a tough guy with a good chin he just got a little greedy and paid for it.. Thats the biggest lesson he couod of learnt

 

Ronnie started well against Cacacae outboxing him then just couldnt deal with the outreached left pawing jab.. Cacacae should of been warned and points off. Ronnie had his tactics wrong or didnt listen.. As for slipping he was brilliant against Vasilev then poor against Mcrorry thats the heavies hes come in for a fight at Super Feather he was very lethargic.. Its simple with Ronnie he needs to let his hands go quicker and punch to the body thats when hes at his best.. We havent seen his best yet.. We have seen glimpses in the gym hopefully it all comes together soon

 

Everyone has their opinion on the Cacace fight. For me it's a fight that Ronnie shouldn't have taken. A 36 hour weigh in period against someone like Cacace should have been discussed , it's a day before weigh in not day and a half before. Josh Taylor came in around welterweight and Cacace was bigger than him. Simple fact is the bigger man won! Ronnie kept trying and trying, hurt him to the body but just didn't perform. He was brave and awkward and gave the fans a great fight but in truth hes better than that. He trained full time for the fight out in Marbella but again wrong people around him, sparring Tom stalker the whole camp to benefit him and not himself. I agree we are full of excuses but all the things I say are true. I am biased to an extent as anyone is with family, but in truth do you believe we would want to see him hurt and talk him into something that dangers him. He lives with any super feather in the uk barring Walsh at the moment, he fights to his potential he beats them! He's the best super feather in Scotland. Some things in the lead up to the Cacace fight were an absolute disgrace. 2 weeks before fight Ronnie was on weight (could have done feather) so put weight back on as he was training in Marbella. He then struggled to lose the weight and like any fighter on the weigh in took it off as late as he could, as he stood on the scales his manager is at him for his money. The weighed in without him as he was 14 minutes late. All these people who don't need to be named in preparation for their fights , Ronnie at his own expense drives through to spar them and help them out yet when he fights their nowhere to be seen. Anyone who knows him will tell you he would help anyone out. For people on his Facebook page goes through to lochend for sparring and to help out goes in with their amateur heavyweight who in truth did not hold back. He loves fighting and terry McCormack would tell you the same he would go in that gym and stay in the ring and spar every single fighter in their one after another. Did Cacace take a lot out of him? I don't know, the mccorry fight was all weight. Being around him through that camp he was massive and left it very late regarding weight, stepping on the scale after missing weight for the first time
In his career. He came in the ring around 11lbs heavier than he normally does. Loyalty in boxing is non existent and Ronnie in truth is just looking to enjoy himself, fight the best, entertain his fans and have fun. Takes nothing on here personnel as he doesn't care. Those who have met him from gyms, fans from Glasgow, Aberdeen, England (mainly Troy James coach, imran naem, and trainers down London) all know his attitude and what he puts in. Time will tell what happens next

I watched this fight, Roberts is a decent boxer but still looks like he an amateur style here, are there any more recent videos of his fights.

 

Had a weigh in at 12. Also most weigh ins Ronnie has been involved in have been at 6pm. Including his weigh in with Craig Evans, Troy James and Ryan Walsh. Cacace was bigger than Josh Taylor, there's pictures that show this. Its their choice to do weigh ins this time but Ronnie manager should have had it in place to do a later weigh in as that's what managers jobs are to try and eliminate advantages of opponents.

 

How can a super featherweight be bigger than a welterweight though?

 

Ok mate, listen anyone who was around it knows the truth about the size difference. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course.

 

Mate you said that Josh is 6ft when he's 5"11 and Cacace is 5"10. Trust me Cacace and Josh were the same size that night. Course you can have your opinion but Cacace for me will never do super feather again. It's impossible for him . Time will tell
