6 Of the Worlds best Super Middleweights fighting each other to determine who's the undisputed Champion of the world. One of them an unbeaten British fighter whose last two fights were very fan friendly.

So Why in Britain, is it only hardcore boxing fans in the know about this whole tournement? I asked loads of people about the boxing Saturday past and no-one has a ****ing clue what im going on about.

A measley few thousand PPV buys??

If true that's an absolute disgrace. What must Froch think of this? IMO his promoter is not only failing him(££££) but failing the sport of boxing in Great Britain. That may sound OTT but is it? I dont think it is.

MICK,YOU BLUNDERING OAF, GET THE KESSLER FIGHT ON NORMAL TV AND STOP BEING SUCH A WEASELING ******.

He's an idiot. No self respecting promoter with the eyes of the boxing world on his biggest most publicised card ever would put on such a disgrace of a bill. We didn't even bothering entering the Arena itself until they announced Froch would be on in 10 minutes

The fact that they had to mention this on the PA systems speaks volumes for me :-(

Is Froch bound by contract? Thats the only reason bar loyalty i can think why he stays with him. Surely Maloney,Frank W or anybody else for that matter could do a better job

Yeah I was curious as to that. Probably will be bound now especially throughout the tourny which is bad as he could end up getting beat twice in next two fights and will have lost his 'high' paydays and belts with nothing to show for it :-(

Not that I think he will be beat :good........... EVER !!!!!!!

From what Bunce was saying last week Carl and Fat Mick are very very close (not in Flint's Haye/Booth/Energy close).

It'd be a wrench for Froch to leave I'm sure.

I doubt it's as clear cut as people are saying, I know we always know better on this mb, but lets face it, Mick isn't stupid nor is Carl.

While I can see the criticism, Mick has kept Froch unbeaten, got him a title shot, a good first defence and got him in the most exciting boxing event in recent memory.

I agree his marketing of the whole thing could be a lot better, but if he was with Frank do you think he'd even be in the Super Six? He may have a bigger bank balance but we'd all be slating him for having 14 defences of a WBO while six of the best SMW are fighting each other elsewhere.

Sobot and Gimenez. Rowland and Bailey.
Now, Taylor and Dirrell - are you with me?
I'm guessing that Froch made more money for his two defences and I know that Froch was watched by more people live - I was at Sobot, Gimenez, Rowland and Bailey.
    Just a bit of balance.

    Adios.

John Bailey was awful - poor guy was barely an area level fighter :-(

Just a quick one Steve, do you think the reason Froch doesn't get much love outside the east midlands is down to poor promotion, technical inferiority or that he wears an earring?

I'm thinking the last two to be honest.

I read (on another ESB thread) that Froch got £750k for is last fight. If this is true then it's not bad going since it would have been a pretty standard defence but for the super 6 tournamnet.

I do think that the super 6 promotion to date has been less than average in Britain. Such a waste. Can't really see a better opportunity to promote boxing! Say what you like about Warren but at least he gets his fighters exposure.

At least Hennessy isn't protecting Froch and preventing him getting meaningful fights. As a fan, I'd rather Froch stick with Mick. It's early days for Froch yet and depending on how he does in the rest of the Super Six he could become a massive star.....an opportunity that he probably wouldn't have got under Warren.

I don't think it's Froch's simple desire to fight the best, it's also the fact that he needs to fight the best to have any hope of making serious money.
