62-year-old American actor Mickey Rourke will enter the ring as part of the boxing show on November 28 in Moscow. His opponent gonna be 29-year-old American middleweight Elliot Seymour, who has 10 fights and only one win.

MR: "Boxing is a very beautiful and fair sport. It is an important part of my life. Boxing taught me to respect, perseverance, patience and concentration. I've always had a dream to fight in Russia. Thanks to Andrey Ryabinsky for the opportunity. "

Ryabinsky: "Mickey Rourke wanted to fight in Moscow really bad".

I remember a few years back when Rourke had an exhibition match with Hearns. Hearns was taking it easy on Rourke but Rourke was coming at Hearns very hard. Hearns got ****ed off and knocked Rourke out with a jab.

Rourke wasn't a world class fighter by any means, he was a club fighter, but he wasn't terrible

I like Rouke but i'v seen 2 or 3 of his pro fights from the 90's and i honestly believe they were all fixed with opponents taking dives.

I think Hearns actually gave him a bad concussion in the gym some time iirc.
Same impression I got from some of what I saw. He should fight Taishan Dong next.

Amazing shape for a man in his 60's plus his face looks much better now then it did 5 years ago.

What ever he's taking is working.

What a tight spot this Elliot Seymour kid's now in.

Go for broke and get the KO and big whoop, you've thrashed an old man, a popular star of the big screen at that. You won't even get credit for defeating a formerly great boxer that happens to be 62 or anything. Rourke was an okay boxer at his best, and was already in his 40's back then, an established actor who just kind of took up boxing again late in life for a lark. (though he was a decent amateur, back in the 1960's...at flyweight - 63lbs below his light heavyweight stomping grounds in the pros decades later)

...but, go easy on him - and risk losing to him. Try living that one down. Michael Buffer is only eight years older than Rourke.

What a maniac, this guy.

Hopkins just proved for all the world that 50 is "too old for this ****". Granted, there couldn't be any more distance separating Kovalev from Seymour, but all the same, Bernard has a dozen years on Mickey and has LIVED CLEAN his entire life, and stayed in the gym constantly. (both in stark contrast with Rourke...who doctors advised to stop fighting 41 years ago because of an excess of concussions and facial rearrangement :!:)
