Well Taxi Driver is one of my favourites. Guess I'll have to see for myself.

I don't think Walker would outclass Steele either but I do think he's being sold a little short here. Steele was one of the most underrated of middleweight champions for a long time but I think Walker would give him a hell of a time. It's a distance fight but I'm picking Mickey by a close, very hard fought decision.

Please name all the historians that rank Steele over Walker.

The ring - Freddie Steele: NO7
And this isn't even a good list.

    https://www.ringtv.com/516348-ranking-rings-31-middleweight-champions/

The Fight City - Freddie Steele: NO7

    https://www.thefightcity.com/top-12...r-sugar-ray-robinson-jake-lamotta-harry-greb/

Our own Matt McGrain - Freddie Steele: NO11 - Mickey walker NO 18

    https://tss.ib.tv/boxing/featured-b...est-middleweights-of-all-time-part-four-20-11

These are just a few reputable sources, from one Google search, including our own historian moderator. I can easily find more.

    Go away. You're a joke.

And use the reply function. Your arrogance is astounding. Disgrace to the name Houdini. You didn't even once try to back up your claim, even with historians you apparently refer to. No one takes you seriously here.

What a joke. Neither listing rates Walker who is universally acclaimed as one of boxing’s greatest.

Neither listing is via a known boxing historian. Fans perhaps but not historians. No true historian would leave Walker unranked from a middleweight top ten.

No true Historian would have Norton ranked in a heavyweight top ten.
    He still beat Ali.

Individual rankings don't effect how fights go down.

And use the fecking reply button.

You didn't actually read it, did you? Walker is on McGrain's list moron lol. A bit above Steele, actually. I actually mentioned it. Did you read my post, or are you so much better than me you didn't need to? Arrogance. Are you saying you know more than our premiere forums historian? Don't make me laugh.

What known historians should I check then? You haven't actually referenced any.

And I know your gonna say Herb Goldman, who I've actually checked. Seems like you just read Cyber Boxing Zone repeatedly lol.

And what makes one historian more reputable than another, anyway? Tell me. The fight city, for example is made up of some very knowledgable people, including the well known analyst Lee Wylie, whose work has been featured on HBO. They're definitely more informed than you, anyhow.

What makes Walker so much better than Steele as a ranked Middle? You literally said he's several levels above. You haven't explained anything to justify your view.

Besides, weird historian lists and debates are irrelevant for this H2H match up. You're being silly again.

    Use the reply function.

Your posts are a joke. Go find a treadmill.

You should go into general with this type of firepower. Within a week I think you'd shut the place down.

Sorry princesses McGrain aint no expert. Hes not even that old. I'm with you all the way Houdini. Walker is rated in true pfp top 10s much less middleweight. These babies are full of ****. Keep punching Houdini. History and the dead who saw them all back you up. Now let me return to Exile Island.

Did I ever say Walker wasn't a top 10, in any post? No.

I even said the ring list wasn't that good. But it's the ring, which Houdini actually references when convenient for him.

And him being 'young' means he doesn't know his stuff? Such arrogance without backing up your points, and using demeaning, catch all put downs instead. McGrain did a ridiculous amount of research and gave it back to this forum. Way to undermine him.

I could just say you old guys are senile.

I actually think General has been better than the Classic forum for a few weeks. They actually explain their ****ing viewpoints even if you disagree with them. And the trolls are obvious.

No wonder tin ribs ****ing left.

General isn't as bad some make out, don't get me wrong it's not exactly troll free but it's not horrendous. Some of the guys in there are genuinely really on it with their stuff, also there's no ageism there.

Ever since I joined Classic it's been roughly 50-50 in good threads and bad threads. Lately it's been 40-60. But there's been some absolute belters lately and some absolute shitters. But even in the poor threads (Marciano vs *insert active HW* type) at least there's some sort of breakdown and logic. Guys like Houdini are ridiculous, they don't actually say anything valuable and resort to litteral name calling. I know @Ra's Al-Ghul gets alot of stick but at least he can explain why he's came to the conclusions he comes to. That's all we can really ask of a poster. Oh and he understands the basic concept of a reply and alert system. I think a break is understandable, I do hope Tin Ribs comes back tho, he was very insightful and I liked reading his posts, they helped me grow on my limited (still) knowledgeable of the lower weights. I think most people here need to actually watch more boxing. Coz it seems like 1. they can't back up what there saying or 2. don't know what there on about.

Oh and believe me, the trolls are much worse in general.

For what it's worth I have read or encountered few "boxing historians" who have any rigor, consistency or dynamism to their intellect. I feel embarrassed reading them or worse watching them concoct some hackneyed persona to cover their vacuous pronouncements. There are a few exceptions, mostly of recent vintage, but generally they all seem to be simps. So, don't throw around lists by some old lame wag. I couldn't really give a sh*t.
