Jack Sharkey was a LOT better then Ingo so I’d say Walker would probably maul him, Ingo was terrible, Floyd Patterson was “eh” bit too brave for his own good, Machen fight I don’t know what happened there but from what I’ve seen of Walker he was just plain better, Ingo is probably among the worse fighters to win the title and so was Floyd H2H.
Yes but he was a much better matchup for Mickey Walker. Ingo is a horrid matchup for Mickey. Sharkey could beat Schmeling and Walker could beat Sharkey but Walker couldn't beat Schmeling. Greb can beat Tunney and Tunney could beat Dempsey but Greb couldn't have beaten Dempsey. Mickey Walker is exactly the sort of fighter that make Floyd and Ingo look like George Foreman and Gerry Cooney.
Johansson had glaring technical flaws but if he caught you perfectly with that right hand, your brain went to sleep. I could envision Mickey Walker pummeling and stopping Ingo. But it's not hard to imagine him getting nailed by the Hammer of Thor. It would be a suspenseful fight.
