no,no ones talking about this actualy happening or anything.but I've been watching my Ward collection and I think this wouldda been one hell of a fight. two strong guys who just love to push and throw and push and throw. I serioustly was just thinking about this fight and MAN it wouldda been a fight of the year candidate for sure.

so I say Hatton wouldda won by UD,what does everyone else think?

Waaaaaay too much difference in skills, Hatton eats him alive... Just see what happened to Castillo... Shot or not shot, Ricky would murder him. Ward was an exceptional warrior but Hatton is just a bad fight for him even at his very best.

Ricky murders him. But could be a quite exciting execution. :thumbsup

Hatton is simply a higher caliber fighter than Ward.

Ward was a tough fringe contender/journeyman.

Hatton is a world class fighter.

    Hatton via UD.

well I know Hatton is a top guy. I know he's one of the very best fighters in the world especialy at 140 pounds but I just think the fight would be fireworks. I'm sure too that Hatton would win by UD but who woundt wanna see this fight anyway?(when Ward was still in his prime anyhow)

Hatton by late T/KO or UD.

Hatton would just pull the same routine he always has. The fact is Hatton is nothing more than a 147lbs John Ruiz. He doesn't go in there to launch an attack, he goes in to get a clinche and wrestle around. That tactic combined with his superior hand speed and foot work wouldn't work out well for Ward.

Ricky wins but Ward would make it a good fight. He had a way of fighting guys that were better than him and still making the fight interesting.

Hatton by late KO. Ward would take a beating.

Hatton is a couple of divisions above Ward, i think Hatton would fight him like he fought Ben Tackie, mix boxing with brawling.

    Hatton ud

Hatton would KO him, but Mickey would leave Hatton a bloody mess.

mickey ward with a check hook ko!

do you think mickey actually knew how to throw a check hook lol

would have been a great fight, probably would have turned into how the eamon magee hatton fight went with ward making some openings early and ricky eventually finding a way to box away from the inside.yes, ricky can do that!

Its a matter of level. Ward was a fringe level contender, exciting but limited on the world stage.

    Hatton easy UD.

Hatton is eons quicker than Ward. I can see it being a stinker however like the Urango fight where Ward hurts Hatton to the body and Hatton responds with stink tactics and wins a boring but one-sided decision.

    Could be interesting.

Who's even taken it to Hatton's body?
