heavy-giving it to toney here; i think his skills shine here against a walker who, despite toney's further reduced workrate, would have trouble physically imposing himself against an inshape, sharp toney. uppercuts and crosses rock walker who loses by close UD

 

Toney won the title when there was plenty of guys to choose from.

Walker did more imo by getting ranked 3rd in the one title era. I think I may favor Walker in heavyweight.

 

there's certainly an argument for it. i'm relying heavily on toney's size and sharpness there. his chin is amazing and he'd be able to physically hold his own at least with walker. his skills would be a bit more evident i think

 

Remember when the "book" on toney was that he was lazy and to beat him you should stay on top of him and throw punches? That thinking got a bunch of guys beat up. Admittedly I'm not as knowledgeable about Walker, from a standpoint of having watched a lot of his fights, but what I've seen makes me think that he might be playing into Toney's strength.

 

good point, but like the decisions or not, a lot of guys had that success. a peak, sharp toney at 168 counterpunches most swarmers to ****. a 160 and 175 toney though is a bit less sharp and in the end, walker isn't your typical fighter. he'd do far better than barkley imo

 

He was sharp enough against ATG McCallum at 160.

 

Toney by schoolage, Walker wasn't too successful against A Level technicians

Lhw should be toney but judging his actual showing at the weight he'd be too lazy and lose a close points decision.

At hw toney has more about him and if the weights are anything to go buy, toney will inflict ring death uponwalker.

powerful Paolino Uzcudun,King Levinsky, and DREW with the prime heavyweight Jack Sharkey.. Who did a bloated James toney beat as a heavyweight ? John Ruiz...Case closed...

Ill be honest with you I like James Toney as a speak his mind fighter and the fact that he moved up and I saw him ready to stop Rahman and stopped Evander with body shots but where James learned the art of body punching was in a fight with James Tiberi who doubled James over with body shots and hurt him many times in a fight Tiberi deserved to win. If Toney thinks Tiberi was a good body banger he should have been in the ring with one of the best body snatchers of all time the toy bulldog Mickey Walker and I like Walker to batter James body to take the nod or possibly get the body stop over James

 

Walker was not just a brawler, he could box also.
