The Middleweight terror of the heavyweight ranks of the 1930's vs Charles Liston, for the heavyweight title. Who wins.

I think Walker's heart, will and guts may make Liston quit in round 6. Like Ali did to Liston.

I would like to believe what you say, Dempsey 1238 and SuzieQ49. Terrific fairy tale ending it would be.

But Sonny is too big and bad a bear to be in a fairy tale.

Liston would do what Max did to Mickey but quicker around 3 rds,and the promoter and Sonny, would be locked up for attempted manslaughter.

Naah, We talking about Walker, the heavyweight terror that outpointed the mighty and powerful Jack Sharkey. Until the judges decide to robbed him.

Walker by ko. Liston would see that Walker would have just too much heart, for Walker to lose. Liston would start looking for a way out going into round 4 or so. Well behind on the cards by the way.

To Display his Heart will mean Mick getting Hit, and if Liston is Hitting Micky i dont think Micky gets to display that heart.

Much as I admire Walker I think this would be an unfair match up even for him.

He would probably agree to take the fight of course.

Liston blows him up in less than a round. Disgusting mismatch here.

Walker will last the go the 15 rounds, if it last that long. I dont know how long Liston's heart will tucker out by round 6th. Its far from a mismatch, as Walker was ranked in the top 5 heavyweights of his era. And even Max had trouble blasted that pesky Walker out of there.

Walker was briefly ranked no 5 in 1931,due to his draw with the erratic Sharkey, but in 1932 Schmeling half killed him in 8 rds.he does not last long with Liston, imo. P4P great though Walker was.Its interesting that of all the men he fought ,which was just about everybody,Walker named Greb as the best.
