    Liston didn't share the speed of Schmeling or Sharkey. This might be more interesting than most take for granted.

    The way Schmeling was able to get to Walker early and often tells me that this fight probably wouldn't last past three rounds. You don't have to go looking for Micky Walker, and that's the way Liston prefers it. In Walker's defense, he did beat up a fringe contender heavy named Bearcat Wright who was of similar stature as Liston, both being around 6'1 tall and 210+ pounds. But he hit the floor in round one of that bout.
