I believe Micky Ward had a job even while is was still fighting. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe he worked driving a paving steamroller or the actual asphault truck. I am not sure, but I could of sworn it was some time of road department work. Also he is traininf fighters. You see him time to time on tv if one of his fighters is on and he is working the corner. He trained his old rival Arturo Gatti toward the end of his career as well. All in all Micky seems to be doing really well post boxing and is by no means another sad story of a broken down and broke ex fighter
I saw his house in a picture somehere not long ago.Hes doing good.definately comfortable. He made some good money for the Gatti fights
Ward deserved his career highest purse against Gatti for their rubber match. A down to earth guy as you'll find. His fight with Burton was one of the most action packed you'll ever see.
