Micky Ward vs Amir Khan (without the olympic fame, money, management and roach)

    It seems like an easy one, maybe it is. But who would win between Micky Ward (shea neary fight) vs Amir Khan (if he didn't have all the money, perks, opportunities)?

    Ward fought often, fought hurt, fought often at the last minute and had a job on the side.

    Khan has had a ton of opportunities and can dictate who he fights, when he fights, has the best training, facilities, resources and can fight 100% every time

    If khan didn't have these opportunities, if he had to fight the same way ward fought, who would have won?

    uhhhh so you're not letting khan get the training faciliities trainers etc that make him the fighter he is today?

    pretty much. if all things were equal, what would happen? It's a what if fight so you gotta use your imagination anyway. i'm thinking of the intangibles. khan has the talent but could he put it to proper use if he had to work 8 hours a day paving driveways?

    Ward would be a nightmare for Khan. Khan probably wouldn't be able to knock Ward out and Micky is a relentless fighter, you have to think at some point he gonna be able to rough Khan up, and we know Amir is not built for that kind of a fight. I would take Micky Ward by KO.

    that's my thought and though i don't think ward would win, he's not getting knocked out and we have no idea how khan can handle real pressure and real power.

    including the limitations of not being a multi-millionairre and maybe coming into the fight with a limited training camp, i say ward puts him through hell and loses a MD

    the khan as we know him beats the absolute dog **** out of ward.

    Let's say Ward comes to the arena after laying brick for 8 hours and Khan comes in his mail truck after completing his route, in this scenario Ward definitely wins.

    fair answer and these hypotheticals aren't science, none of the predictions on this forum are. it's a what if. what if jones and calzaghe fought in 2002? what if shavers fought tyson? never happened, never could but what if it did.

    basically, does khan have the testicular fortitude to beat a lesser but tough as **** opponent he has all the athletic and talent advantages over if he isn't at peak?
