Oliver McCall probably outworks George to a decesion just like he did to Larry Holmes. Neither guy has a chance of knocking the other out, but youth will prevail in this one.

That's what I'm thinking. The punch that KO'ed Moorer would have just bounced of McCall's chin. He can take it.

Speaking of his fight with Larry Holmes, that seems to be a forgotten fight nowdays, as it was an excellent heavyweight fight for a guy 45 years old to take on a strong, young, tough champion like that.

A testament to Holmes, for sure. He fought Holyfield too a few years earlier. Retired at age 52. True warrior.

I think this is about right. Mid-90s Foreman really didn't have the speed or movement to outwork too many guys, and he wouldn't be able win rounds by landing the more telling punches on McCall either. Most likely McCall wins a close decision.

Oliver McCall would be standing there and ready to be hit, even by old George Foreman. The only way to beat Foreman was to hit and move, McCall would not do that. This actually would have been a great fight for Foreman to take at some point. I am fairly confident that Old George, as slow as he was, would knock McCall down and out, something that noone else was able to do. Foreman KO 7

I think Foreman might stop him too. I know McCall has an iron jaw, but he never fought Foreman. He's not tall and rangy like Briggs or Savarese, for he cant survive and pester Foreman from afar, and I doubt he'd box George like Morrison or Schulz did. McCall would be looking purely for a KO, as always. Foreman would actually be on top of him.

McCall didn't have the style or inclination to outbox Foreman. Maybe he could have adjusted.

Bruno battered McCall with a heavy thudding jab, Foreman might do so and worse.

Possible, of course. Anything is in a fantasy matchup.

George just strikes me as a bit too slow.

Foreman's punching power was overrated during his comeback. I think it was an enduring myth that in order to beat Foreman you had to hit and run. Savarese stood toe-to-toe with Foreman on numerous occasions and never hit the ground. And, after he "proved" his chin against George, he was knocked out in his next fight against David Izon. The same thing with Crawford Grimsley; Grimsley extends George the limit, but gets knocked out by Jimmy Thunder in mere seconds! McCall outworks George and wins a decision.

Who do you think Savarese was up to fight more. George Foreman or David Izon? Who do you think Crawford Grimsely was up to fight more Foreman or Thunder? Who do you think Foreman would be up to fight more Grimsley, Savarese or McCall? He would train harder for McCall because he would respect him

McCall is tough but not as tough as you people make him out to be. The more agressive you are the more you will be hit. This guy wasnt that agressive and that is why he was easy to out box. Foreman even at 48 threw more punches than McCall did. Briggs is a better boxing, punched harder and had faster hands but in the end it didnt matter. Foreman still beat him across the ring

McCall wouldnt run, its not his style, He is there to be hit. I doubt McCall is any tougher than Pierre Coetzer ( A better fighter but i dont know if he is tougher) Foreman stopped Coetzer and if McCall stood infront of Foreman he would be stopped or at the very least Foreman would win the fight on ponits.

If Foreman couldn't knockout Glass Jaw Tommy Morrison, no way does he knockout Iron Chinned oliver mccall. In fact Foreman could not even knockout Axel Shulz, Lou Saverese, Shannon Briggs, Alex Stewart, and Crawford Grimsley...how is he going to ever stop Mccall?

Tommy Morrison was 11 out of 12 easy rounds vs foreman, I expect Oliver Mccall to do the same, in fact Mccall might knock foreman out cold if he lands his right. 1990s Foreman is one of the most overrated h2h fighters of all time.
