There's a 4-rounder finishing up between lightweights Rynell Griffin and Khadaphi Proctor.

The next fight is at middleweight. It's between 9-5-2 (5) Victor Villereal and 16-1 (14) Marcos Reyes, who's got wins over Campas and Zertuche.

    Round 1

Villereal presses with a jab and some body blasts but is doing too much walking forward and moving his hands too little. Reyes catches him with a nice right hand, fighting pretty well moving backward.

Proctor won. Bob Sheridan thought the scores were too wide but that the right man won.

    Round 2

Villereal is a bit loosey-goosey with everything but the jab. Reyes is actually boxing a bit smoother now, landing his own jab by moving in and out, covering up and countering with body shots. Villereal is backed into a corner by a flurry to the chest and winds up on his back. He scrambles to his feet to beat the count but Reyes chops him down with the 1-2 repeatedly, punctuating the sequence with body punches until Villereal finally goes to his knees again. Villereal makes it to his feet but is not fighting back and barely defending himself while laying against the ropes.

Good stoppage even though it was two seconds from the bell.

A thick cutie by the name of Mariana Estrada is pulling double duty on both the Mexican and American anthems - and doing a nice job on both. :good

    Micky Roman vs. Tyrone Harris

    Round 1

Harris works the right jab well and thrusts lead lefts between Roman's elbows as he turns him. Harris is using very good movement and blocking most of Roman's shots on the inside, for the brief moments they're on the inside. Roman begins to open up with left hooks and looping right hands, trying to curve shots around from either side of Harris faster than he can see them. Roman finds a little success but can't land much in combination. Harris shells up while Roman goes on the offensive, with a couple of body taps getting in; Harris pushes at Roman's forehead with his palm. Another looping right gets through for Roman.

    Close one. 10-9 Harris

    Round 2

Roman is slugging from the hip without setting anything up with a jab. Harris is picking him off with left uppercuts and clinching as Roman falls in. Roman continues to find success with those looping right hands to the jaw; Harris has no answer for those. Roman is warned for leading with his head - it's a final warning from Jay Nady, and the next violation will result in a point taken away. Roman continues to swarm, not terribly effective but certainly aggressive and taking away all thoughts of offense from Harris.

    10-9 Roman

    19-19

    Round 3

Harris brings the right jab back into play. Roman starts shrugging it off and walking through it and Harris goes back to his nervous posture and dodging. Roman whacks him against the ropes with a series of body punches and goes low with one right uppercut. Harris drops to his knees in pain and takes about thirty seconds. The replay shows that it was right on the beltline, top of the cup. :think Harris gets his jab going again but Roman follows with right hands and looks to grab Harris behind the neck and hit him. Harris starts backing away too quickly for that so Roman now just bombs away with the looping overhand rights and underhanded shots to both sides of the body while stepping forward. Harris keeps sticking the jab in his stalker's face and throwing a soft little combo here and there, just trying to touch Roman but not hurting or discouraging him.

    Round 4

Lead left uppercuts land for Harris. He then begins stretching the jab out while sliding his feet across the ring in a moonwalking pattern. Roman goofs off for a moment with his left hand low like a slickster, then puts his guard up to plow into Harris' chest and start working the body. Roman warned once more by Nady for headbutts but no point is taken. Roman begins headhunting and consequently, missing. Ooh, left hook to the jaw by Roman as Harris drops his hands. Harris working almost exclusively with the right jab up high and the left uppercut to the body. Roman uses his right hand as a lead to create a diversion and work the left hook to the body.
