Middle-of-the-week PPV - Jhonny Gonzalez vs. Jackson Asiku RBR

Round 5

Asiku comes out strong, leaping forward with hooks and right hands that Gonzalez blocks. Gonzalez is backed into a corner and keeps blocking but not punching. Now Gonzalez jabs and turns. Asiku is very aggressive for a guy down and in so much trouble just a couple of minutes ago. ASIKU DOWN AGAIN AFTER BEING RIPPED WITH A MASSIVE LEFT HOOK!!!! He gets up at eight. GONZALEZ IS MAULING HIM! ASIKU RUNS TO THE ROPES AND CLEAVES TO THEM, BOUNCING AROUND AS JHONNY LAYS ON THE POWER! BODY SHOT FROM GONZALEZ! LEFT HOOK TO THE JAW OF ASIKU!!! GONZALEZ IS PATIENTLY COMING FORWARD AND BLASTING ASIKU! ASIKU HAS NO QUIT IN HIM, STANDING FIRM AND GOING TO THE BODY IN BETWEEN WIDE LATERAL HOPS. Gonzalez throws a left hook to the body that interrupts an Asiku combo and has him wincing with his gloves down and Gonzalez lands another BIG ONE and DOWN GOES ASIKU AGAIN!!!! He survives the round somehow

Round 6

Gonzalez with a hard 1-2 knocks Asiku back to the ropes from center ring. Asiku is reacting badly to every shot thrown by Gonzalez. He has shown good powers of recovery but Gonzalez is chipping away at him. Asiku runs around the perimeter. Gonzalez forces Asiku off of him in a clinch and begins to pound him in a corner with two-fisted fury and Bayless says NO MAS as Asiku is sprawled against the turnbuckle with his arms akimbo!!!!!

Jhonny Gonzalez is the new IBO featherweight champ.

He didn't call out anybody specifically when asked if he wants John, Gamboa, or Lopez - but said he will gladly take on any of them.
