along with pavlik, abraham, williams, martinez and pirog all established and all fighting for at least another two years, thier's also numerous talented prospects coming through such as: MATT KOROBOV- one of the best ever russian amateurs and exciting powerfull puncher. GOLOVKIN- also highly decorated amateur, a technically gifted amateur. DAVID LEMIUX- the canadian ko artist is also a very capable boxer ELYSANDRA LARA- cuba's amatuer sensation is a slick boxer DANIEL JACOBS- very talented and slick who under performed against pirog. along with these stars theres solid fighters like macklin, barker and lee making this the most talant packed division in boxing this time next year! ps, i know lara is in light middle but all the talk is of him moving up soon.
korobov is the most talented out the lot! he needs to step up and fight someone dangerous though cus he's way too inactive. why do you say he's going knowhere? plus macklin, lee and barker are all good fighters. they will keep the division competative if not win titles.
Well, Korobov was injured for a long time and he's making his come back (plus he's suing Universum). And don't forget Hassan N'dam N'jikam, Guerrero (who's at least on par witn Lee IMO) and the junior middleweights Angulo and Kirkland who could move up.
Neither Pavlik or Abraham will fight at 160 again and I suspect Williams will move down. On the contrary, I think the division is very weak.
korobov, lara, golovkin, lemieux, are all potential p4p top 10 fighters. how can you call that weak? abraham will fight there again. he's clearly to small at super mid. he could be dominant at 160. not sure about pavlik.
This. But the division don't need them to be exciting either. Amazing how there's a lot of big prospects in middleweight. :admin
hope he starts fighting soon. he's very talented. also omar henry and martyrosyan could move up. there maybe others!
Anyone happen to see Korobov fight Josh Snyder on the Pavlik-Martinez undercard? That was the first time I saw him live, and he didn't impress me at all.
