As I said Boxrec has formed your opinion. Sibson has only a 49ko% so he wasn't a big puncher? Barkleys ko% is 43%!lol
Archie Moore said the two biggest punchers he faced were Curtess Sheppard and Yvon Durelle.
    Sheppards ko% is38% Durelle's 43%.!
    Monster punching Bob Satterfield's ko% is 44%!
Its simplistic bullsh*t. For example one of the most brutal light weight punchers of all time is Ike Williams his ko % is39%!
I saw over 20 of Sibson's fights from ringside I know he was a big puncher!
I would say his one shot power was harder than both Hagler's and Barkley's.

What does Sibson being cut in2 fights have to do with his ability?
Tony Sibson was a top ten ranked middleweight for SEVEN CONSECUTIVE YEARS.1979,80,81,82,83, 84,85. That ,by its very definition makes him world class! NB Roberto Duran was ranked for only 3 years 1988,89,90!

Tony used to blow hot n cold .when he was hot he was dangerous .Hagler said he was one of the Hardest hitters he faced.depends on what sibson shows up on the night.

I've no problem with anyone picking Duran here, just that some of the reasons for doing so originated from Box Rec!

I don't need polls to tell me Sibson was a world class middleweight ,the fact that he was top ten ranked for seven years indicates that plainly.Likewise I don't need an opinion poll to tell me he was a big puncher because I saw over 20 of his fights live and up close.
Your contention that he was not world class is blown out of the water by him being top ten ranked by the Ring for those seven consecutive years, just as your supposition that he was not a big puncher because he has only 49% ko s is total fatuous ignorance as I proved by giving you several example of terrific punchers with lesser percentages such as Ike Williams 38% ,Bob Satterfield 44% ,Curtess Sheppard 38% ,Yvon Durelle43% ,you said Iran Barkley was a bigger puncher than Sibson yet by your own criteria he can't be because his ko% is lower than Sibson's by3%[43%].
You cant argue these stats so you chose to ignore them .In short mate you don't know what the f**k you are talking about.
Now if you wish to continue, make a poll in which you state your given opinion that Sibson was
    1.Not World Class.
    2.Not A Big Puncher.
Because these are your opinions and they are completely and utterly WRONG!

Absolutely spot on. Anybody who disagrees with points 1 & 2 above clearly doesn't know enough about Sibson. By the way, I always felt Sibson's jab was hugely under-rated too.

McVey - we went to a lot of the same shows at the RAH & Wembley Arena & Wembley CC back in the day.

If you want to call him world class fine, but saying a guy that got knocked out 5 times by the time he was 30 is going to beat a motivated Duran at middleweight is a bridge to far. His best fight I've seen was against Hagler and he didn't win a round. At 26 he was ko'ed by Don Lee in a dreadful fight. Anything is possible but it sure as hell wouldn't be the way to bet.

I haven't made a pick, my problem was you saying he was neither world class, or a big puncher ,when I know he was both.
