ok, so it's a pretty big weekend for contenders in the middleweight division. firstly john duddy looks to make the step up against gatekeeper howard eastman wh ohas proved a very competitive and sometimes brilliant tradesman in the last decade. however,he does seem a bit past it now and this seems to be just another stepping stone on duddy's way to becoming the next middleweight champ.many are asking questions of his legitimacy as a top contender but i'm sure that he'll show his credentials with a late tko or eastman. prediction tko round 9 Duddy. then we've got abraham vs elcock which seems to be a pretty straight forward win for the big german.his strength and ability will prove too much for elcock and i see a mid round tko, lets hope fights like this can bring abraham onto the bigger stage and get him a fight against pavlik/duddy in the near future. prediction ko round 6 Abraham. wot do you guys reckon?because there are other fights happening on saturday!!!!!!
And you know what: both cards are going to be streamed via the internet...though they are happening at the same time...
Abraham will KO him with the first big shot he connects. Elcock's chin is worse than Audley's. Duddy will outwork Eastman and I can see Eastman quitting in the late rounds or even getting stopped. He'll announce his retirement after the fight.
yea, i fink duddy will have an easier time on saturday than most people are expecting, don turner apparantly is bringing out the best in duddys skills, his jab his fast hands and his power.would be nice to see one of those swift right hooks that duddy demolished so many with early in his career! does anyone know if rte.ie are streaming the fight,if not can someone give me an address to watch it from.i aint got sky so cant get bbc ni!
Yes, i will be streamed on rte.ie - just visit the website and click LIVE TV come Saturday, 9 pm GMT...
Duddy's skills aren't his main problem - its his defense,he is too easy to hit.I hope Turner has worked on that above all else.He should still win though
I think this is pretty much how it'll go, although being not particularly sold on Duddy, if Eastman isn't as far gone as many of us think, I could see him making it competitive.
I have a feeling he's even a lot more shot than people think and he just took this last fight without even training very hard or caring about winning. He just wants a little more money, then he will retire. I think he's going to be trying to clinch Duddy all night just to make the fight go at a very slow pace and if Duddy doesn't let him, he will probably get frustrated and quit. Duddy is **** though and I agree that if Eastman really isn't shot and prepared for this fight, he could win.
