Golovkin is still number 1 but he's totally past it.

Alimkhanuly was supposed to be the sucessor to the throne but looked poor last night going the distance with a low level opponent.

Jermall Charlo rarely fights, cherry picks and isn't that good

    Derevyanchenko is past it.

Eubank Jr has already been exposed as not a top fighter yet he's highly ranked cause middleweight is so poor.

& There's not any notable top prospects coming up in the near future in the division.

It's currently clearly the weakest division in boxing. & with GGG retiring, you should expect some very weak champions playing pass the parcel in this division in the next few years!

Usually middleweight is much more interesting than super middleweight. It's a cycle.

No doubt about it. I it months ago that middle was a wasteland.

Too many old fighters on the edge of retirement, too many duckers and not enough too fighters to make it interested.

Janibek looked lousy last night. His power was overrated and his offense was a bit predictable at times.

Or 105. That class is utterly useless and there hasn't been a Lineal Champion since the late 90s.

Middleweight isn't a bad class talentwise but it's become a mess because of guys standing in line for an Alvarez payday, politics, and inactivity.

What’s going on with Andrade? He hasn’t fought in a year. And when is Jernall fighting again? Or is he moving up to 168?

Andrade is moving up to 168.

Jermall seems to like fighting only once a year, and had a injury recently.

If GGG tries when he fights he will do alot better than when he fought Canelo in his last fight. His last fight might be misleading. I'm looking forward to the big drama show again.

100% right, though it's not so much being bad as it is stagnant. GGG vs Murata was a legit title fight, and so was Charlo vs Derevyanchenko. It's just that the division is bizarrely shallow and slow-moving compared to its history.

Usually, it is very deep and competitive.

I don't think it is weak. It compares well to the 154lbs and 168lbs divisions.

I’m surprised Mungia hasn’t gotten a title shot yet.

Montana Love literally tried to kill young Stevie Spark on live TV on Saturday night but whose name is on everyone's lips come Sunday morning? Qazaq Style Eurasian brother Janibek.

Boo Boo didn't want none of that smoke

He vacated and tucked tail and ran up to '68

Munguia didn't have a belt to vacate but he still ran like a thief in the night from that Eurasian heat

Jermallo went into hiding as soon as Janibek started barking his name and even Jermello ain't seen him since

160 been trash for damn near 15yrs going back to the Martinez days it’s a reason why the last 3 Lineal 160 Champs have been guys who started at 147 or below 160 been trash
